Today marks the release of my new album What Are We Waiting For? It's Time.
The songs were written during the past few years with a majority coming after January of 2025.It's a diverse group of songs. My musical explorations of late revolved around the Piedmont Blues style I have been learning from Kevin Richards and the discovery of the ukulele as a serious instrument. I
These two world of musical styles cross over in a multitude of ways. For the guitar players, tune the E and A to D and G, capo at the 5thIt's an uke. Remove the capo and you have the main ingredients for some fun blues. I also dedicated myself this past year to the piano. This plays a role in the arrangements. Finally, The bass parts were some of the most enjoyable and intentional I have ever laid down. I feel those parts are important to listen to.
I like to think of these songs as little adventures within a fairy tale that may resemble actual events.
