In my free time of late I have been doing a lot of recording. I want to get better at the recording craft and the art of mixing. That happens by doing it. the simplest subject matter is my own music. These recordings are exclusive content on my website. I will be adding these routinely.
This is a recording of Minister Creek from my CD A Time Long Gone. This recording was made on 9/25/25. The mic pairing is a Warm Audio WA47 on the vocal and a Shure SM81 on the 12th fret of a 12 fret Martin OOO28vs.
I am recording into Cubase 14 with a Steinberg UR44C interface. The SM81 is coming through an ART TPS II.
On the mix I used a lot of compression with high thresholds. The Verb is a BX Aura. 1 long one short.
Master bus: Kirkoff EQ, Shadow hills, Amek mastering compressor. a pultec style plugin, BX Limiter.
