Up Among The Stars (remix)

This is a new mix of my song Up Among The Stars from the CD A Time Long Gone. The song was recently covered by Tara Dunphy of Maggie's Wake and Jim Ballard.

The Other musicians contributing to this recording are Bill Lestock on Mandolin and Cindy Langmack singing backup vocals. When I asked Bill to perform on the record, I imagined fiddle, as he had played fiddle with me at a gig and it seemed perfect. When he arrived in the studio, he pulled out the mandolin. I questioned it for a second. He said, "No this song should have the mandolin."

He was more than correct. The mandolin part is perfect.

I always thought this was one of my best songs. No Depression once made it the featured song of the day.
