This is a song written on board the City of New Orleans. Same route Steve Goodman wrote his song about.
My song reflects on the history along the route, reflections of the past, and the melancholy mood of the night. It was the first song I wrote during the pandemic, though at that time it was just an issue in outside of North America.
This recent recording is a chance to fool around with finger picks while recording. I am experimenting as I develop my skill with the finger picks. It's coming along. On stage it is very comfortable.
